What are the Facility Access Hours, Office Hours and Rental Hours?

Rental Hours

What is the Difference between the “Self-Service Rental Center”, the Office and Facility Access:
The “Self-Service Rental Center” is located at the facility and is where you can book a unit, make changes to your account, or make a payment via our iPad kiosk.

The Office is on site and is where there will be a customer service specialist available to assist with client needs.

Facility access is a specified time in which you can access your individual storage unit(s).

Since the facility is fully-automated, the office does not need to be open in order to rent a unit or gain facility access to an existing unit rental.

What is the Difference between Climate-controlled Storage vs. Non-climate-controlled Storage?
Climate-controlled storage units are temperature and humidity regulated throughout the year to ensure that the goods you store are maintained in a comfortable environment. Non-climate-controlled units are subject to extreme temperature and humidity fluctuations experienced in the New England area which can affect the contents stored in the units if they are sensitive to moisture or low/high temperatures.

Is Tenant Storage Insurance required?
Yes, insurance is required. Winnipesaukee Self Storage does not assume liability for the goods stored in your unit(s). However, through a third party vendor, we offer tenant insurance for purchase. You can secure a policy through BADER STORED PROPERTY INSURANCE PROGRAM during the rental process. For additional information please visit www.baderco.com

*Although most insurance policies exclude off premise storage and are often more expensive, you can elect the option to provide an insurance binder with proof of coverage through your renters or homeowners policy. Please contact management for additional details.

What is Nokē – Storage Smart Entry App?
Nokē – Storage Smart Entry App is an electronic lock system run by bluetooth that authorizes you to enter the facility and your units by an app on your smart device. Once you’ve rented a unit, you will be given directions via text message on how to download and log into the Storage Smart entry app.

Do I need to Pay for the App?
NO! The Nokē – Smart Storage Entry app is free. You can download the app from the app store, relative to your smart device’s model.

Compatible smart devices include: iPhone 4s or newer models and Android 4.4 and newer models.

How secure is the Nokē – Storage Smart Entry App lock?
Nokē – Storage Smart Entry App is extremely secure. It uses an encrypted algorithm to guarantee transmissions are encrypted and safe so that hackers have no way to access your possessions. In the case that somebody tries to tamper with your latch or lock, the system is fail secure and no one can get in.

What happens if the facility loses power?
Our tenants’ possessions are safe and secure around the clock, even in the event of a power outage in the building because each and every lock uses its own battery.

Who can get into my unit?
In order to access a unit, you need to have the unit number and digital access code. As long as you do not share this info with anyone, you are the only one who can access the unit. If you would like to share your digital access code, you can do so by going into your Nokē –Storage Smart Entry app and clicking on the plus sign in the top right-hand corner and selecting “Share Unit.” From there you will type in the cell phone number of the person you would like to share the access with and select the unit or entry point that you’d like them to get into. When you are done with sharing your unit access, you can revoke it.

What do the lights on my lock mean?
Your lock’s light will either be red, green, or off. If the light is red, it means that your unit is locked. If your light is green, then it means that your unit is unlocked. If there is no light showing at all, your lock is saving battery by staying in a “sleep mode”.
To “wake up” the lock, open the Nokē – Storage Smart Entry app and the unit icon will highlight. To open the door, press the highlighted icon.

Attention: WIFI or cellular signal is needed to authenticate when opening the app. Once connected, you only need bluetooth enabled. As a safety precaution, you must allow your device to use your location while using the app. This ensures that you are at the facility before the app allows your unit to be opened.
